Scott Kelly – Ford Digital Marketing Manager

Scott has more than 15 years of experience combining technology and marketing.  He began his career as an IT professional specializing in developing and supporting B2C web applications. In the past six years Scott has transitioned to positions within the field of marketing and advertising.

Scott has been at Ford Motor Company for the past ten years serving in a variety of positions in the Information Technology and Marketing departments. For the past five years, Scott has been the Director of the Digital Marketing department at Ford.  In this key position within the marketing group, Scott oversees all online, mobile, social and emerging forms of advertising communications. He is responsible for digital marketing strategy, planning and execution for all Ford and Lincoln brand and vehicle launch activities. 

During his tenure in this position Ford has become a recognized leader in the area of digital and social media marketing.  Industry and mainstream publications as well as companies from broad industry verticals have benchmarked Ford’s digital marketing efforts.  Ford has been praised for innovative use of digital and social media such as revealing the Ford Explorer on Facebook, a first ever event that resulted in more online interest than is created after a Super Bowl advertisement. 

Scott graduated with honors from Wayne State University with a degree in Management Information Systems and attended The University of Michigan’s Ross School of business for a Masters of Business Administration Degree.
